Why is a Network Needed and What Does It Do?
The National Managed Clinical Network (NMCM) for Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) is a Scottish National Network established by the National Services Division (NSD) in 2007. Its aim is to improve access to and the quality of services for children and adults with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).
The Clinical Lead is Dr Alan Carson, Consultant Neuropsychiatrist and the Network Manager is Lorna Hall.

This is aimed at professionals working with patients with Acquired Brain Injury. As resources such as protocols, pathways and strategic documents are developed and approved for publishing on our website, they will be put into this section under the appropriate area.
Patient & Relative Information
The Acquired Brain Injury National Managed Clinical Network is about putting people at the heart of our work. The Network will listen to patients and relatives views, gather information about their perceptions and personal experience of care and use that information to further improve care.
